I am amazed at the response I have seen about Joe Wilson's outburst in Congress last evening. We all scream daily about the lies and illegal acts done by our government yet when one man has the guts to publicly denounce a liar he is shunned by everyone? I personally think this was the best thing that anyone has done in years. Joe has stood and yelled his opposition to a blatant lie.
President Barack Obama has slapped punitive tariffs on all car and light truck tires entering the United States from China in a decision that could anger the strategically important Asian powerhouse but placate union supporters important to his health care push at home.
Here is what I learned about the healthcare proposal as a result of actually READING the damn thing.
It can never fix the healthcare issue for several reasons, the most
important of which is that it
never once addresses the issues that caused it in the first place.
Americans are outraged with the recent introduction of America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. The Internal Revenue Service will enforce fines of $3,800.00 imposed against non- participants of the National Health Care plan.
Health care negotiators in the Senate pressed for a way to ensure that illegal immigrants can't get access to government-funded insurance, a contentious issue now front and center after a Republican congressman's outburst during President Barack Obama's speech.
The issue is one of several thorny problems that came up as a small group of negotiators on the Senate Finance Committee met Friday morning. Finance Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., is aiming to finalize legislation on Obama's health overhaul by next week—though whether it's bipartisan or not remains to be seen.Such verification can be tricky. Many Democrats fear that verification procedures keep legal residents from getting insurance, and in the House, they rejected Republican attempts to add verification requirements to the House health care bill.
The negotiators put off extensive discussion of the illegal immigration issue until Monday and said aides would be working on language on that and abortion over
In a legislative draft released this week, Baucus would fine you up to $3,800 for not buying precisely the insurance policy which Barack Obama orders you to buy.
Baucus isn’t going to tell you that until after the bill is passed. We do know that, under the Baucus draft, a lower middle income family could be forced to pay up to 13% of its income to buy an ObamaCare policy. And, presumably, a middle income family would be required to spend much, much more....
President Obama, in concert with his ass kissers and boot lickers in Congress, is preparing to stuff a so-called national health care program down our throats in spite of the fact that there is no constitutional basis for the legislation.
The contents of the H1N1 vaccine that
the World Health Organization (and soon too the US Government, via
Executive Order or treaty) will be mandating that we all take? The
contents might surprise you.
Democratic congressional leaders predicted passage of health care
legislation within a few months despite undimmed Republican opposition,
claiming momentum from President Barack Obama's speech and
renewed commitment from lawmakers fresh from a month of meetings with
constituents.
Increasingly, events in the Senate Finance Committee appeared
pivotal, precursor to likely votes in both the House and the Senate by
early October. "I'm confident the president will sign a bill this
year," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.
No one disputes that the $2.3 trillion we devote to the health care industry is often spent unwisely, but the fact that the United States spends twice as much per person as most European countries on health care can be substantially explained, as a study released last month says, by our being fatter. Even the most efficient health care system that the administration could hope to devise would still confront a rising tide of chronic disease linked to diet.
That’s why our success in bringing health care costs under control ultimately depends on whether Washington can summon the political will to take on and reform a second, even more powerful industry: the food industry.
Representative Ron Paul appeared last night on Larry King to address the speech. When asked if it changed his mind about the governments take over of the healthcare industry he explains how it will only make matters worse.
Also on the program was Dr. David Scheiner who is the current president of the (AMA) American Medical Association who is for complete control and Dr. Nancy Nielsen who is also for controlling your healthcare.

Obama is extending his NO Enforcement - Open Border Amnesty Policy to ObamaCare. Just cross the border and enter a government clinic and you can get free health care paid for by U.S. taxpayers. In the heated debates on health-care reform, not enough attention is
being paid to the huge financial windfalls ObamaCare will dole out to
unions—or to the provisions in the various bills in Congress that will
help bring about the forced unionization of the health-care industry.
That way, the people who protested the Obama speech before they knew
what was in it would have realized there is nothing unusual about a
president appearing at a public school as the classroom year begins.
The previous three Republicans have and there wasn't any stir, aside
from some Democratic nitpicking about White House expenses, proving
that neither party has a monopoly on pettiness. It was routine. As, in
the end, Obama's Tuesday talk was.
In the heated debates on health-care reform, not enough attention is being paid to the huge financial windfalls ObamaCare will dole out to unions—or to the provisions in the various bills in Congress that will help bring about the forced unionization of the health-care industry.
Tucked away in thousands of pages of complex new rules, regulations and mandates are special privileges and giveaways that could have devastating consequences for the health-care sector and the American economy at large.
The Senate version opens the door to implement forced unionization schemes pursued by former Govs. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois in 2005 and Gray Davis of California in 1999. Both men repaid tremendous political debts to Andy Stern and his Service Employees International Union (SEIU) by reclassifying state-reimbursed in-home health-care (and child-care) contractors as state employees—and forcing them to pay union dues.
Following this playbook, the Senate bill creates a "personal car
President Barack Obama used only-in-Washington accounting when he promised to overhaul the nation's health care system without
adding "one dime" to the deficit. By conventional arithmetic,
Democratic plans would drive up the deficit by billions of dollars.

Merck was in trouble. In 2002, the pharmaceutical
giant was falling behind its rivals in sales. Even worse, patents on
five blockbuster drugs were about to expire, which would allow cheaper
generics to flood the market. The company hadn't introduced a truly new
product in three years, and its stock price was plummeting.
In interviews with the press, Edward Scolnick, Merck's research
director, laid out his battle plan to restore the firm to preeminence.
Key to his strategy was expanding the company's reach into the
antidepressant market, where Merck had lagged while competitors like
Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline created some of the best-selling drugs in
the world. "To remain dominant in the future," he told Forbes, "we need to dominate the central nervous system."
His plan hinged on the success of an experimental antidepressant

SCRANTON – How many people have read the full health care reform bill known as HR 3200?
Organizers of a public reading of the bill
that took place in downtown Scranton on Wednesday say not many. And for
that reason, organizer Roxanne Pauline said that more than 38 people,
old and young, with and without health care coverage, signed up to help
read the more than 1,000-page bill.
The reading at the
Lackawanna County Courthouse Square began at 5 a.m. and continued for
over 15 hours. And, according to Pauline, it is said to be the first public reading of the bill in America.
The event gained national attention from USA Today featuring a preview story about the reading and international attention from BBC Radio live at the reading.
Pauline said the reading aimed to inform members of the public and organizers of the reading about the bill.

A top senator is calling for fines of up to $3,800 on families who fail to get medical insurance after a health care overhaul goes into effect.
The plan from Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana would make health insurance mandatory, just like auto coverage. It would provide tax credits to help cover the cost for people making up to three times the federal poverty level. That's about $66,000 for a family of four, and $32,000 for an individual.
But those who still don't sign up would face hefty fines, starting at $750 a year for individuals and $1,500 for families. The maximum penalty on individuals would be $950.
Baucus is hoping his plan can win bipartisan support. A copy of his proposal was obtained by The Associated Press.
If you go by words, you can be led into anything.
No doubt millions of people will be listening to the words of President Barack Obama Wednesday night when he makes a televised address to a joint session of Congress on his medical care plans. But, if they think that the words he says are what matters, they can be led into something much worse than being swindled out of their money. One plain fact should outweigh all the words of Barack Obama and all the impressive trappings of the setting in which he says them: He tried to rush Congress into passing a massive government takeover of the nation's medical care before the August recess-- for a program that would not take effect until 2013!Whatever President Obama is, he is not stupid. If the urgency to pass the medical care legislation was to deal with a problem immediately, then why postpone the date when the legislation goes into effect for years-- more specifically, until the year after the next Presidential election?
I'm living alone on an island all by myself and one day you wash up. You ask to live on the other side and since there is plenty of room, I say sure. In the coming years your family grows so large that you can no longer care for them and you come over to my side of the island demanding I hunt your food for you. Socialism is that simple, and that wrong.
"At the moment, except for the people without insurance,
we’re not in a health-care crisis," said a
professor of government at Georgetown U. "You do need a crisis to generate movement in Congress and to
help build a consensus."
