Ross Ulbricht, also known as "Dread Pirate Roberts," was convicted in 2013 for his role in creating and operating the Silk Road, an online marketplace that facilitated the sale of illegal drugs and other illicit goods. Despite the severity of his sentence, many believe that the punishment does not fit the crime and that Ulbricht deserves a second chance at freedom. Ross's name has recently made headlines once again after President Donald Trump publicly promised to commute his sentence to time served at the National Libertarian Convention in Washington DC this past May.

The Change.org petition has nearly 600,000 signatures so far. The song will be officially released on all social media platforms on July 26, 2024, accompanied by a moving music video, directed by the artist, which uses AI animation to visually narrate Ross's journey and the ongoing fight for his freedom.
