Science has said for many years and decades now, that 10,000 years ago people were simple hunter gatherers. They say that people were primitive in their thinking and activities prior to that time. Modern archaeological finds are proving science wrong.
Science and archaeology have built themselves up around this idea. They are proud, and want us to feel proud, for political reasons - proud that we are great, that we are advancing, that we are reaching a state of perfection.
True finds in archaeology that show that pre-historic people were advanced beyond what we are, say 12,000 to 14,000 years ago, don't fit what science wants to believe. So, science tries to ignore them, or even hide them.
Journalist turned archeologist, Graham Hancock, wrote the book Fingerprints of the Gods which was published in 1995. Since that time, he has written many other books, and made a large number of videos. He has gained for himself a great number of enemies in the standard sciences. His latest best book, Magicians of the Gods, was published near the end of last year - 2015.
Why is Graham Hancock important? Because he, more than anyone else, has shown that 12,000 to 14,000 years ago there was a worldwide civilization on earth, that was greater than the one we have going today. What happened to this civilization? It was wiped out in a worldwide cataclysm (Noah's Flood?) that destroyed most of everything about this civilization. Yet, the records of this ancient civilization are in modern archaeological finds. And it disrupts most of the modern ideology that people were simple hunter gatherers prior to 10,000 years ago.
