A 17-year-old flashed his lights at a cop and ended up dead -- now his family is suing

• Business Insider

Frost pulled the 17-year-old over right after the incident, asking Guilford why he had flashed his lights at him. Apparently, Guilford believed that Frost had his high-beams on, though Frost denied this, saying he had a new car with more powerful lights. Somehow, this argument turned violent, ending up with Guilford being shot dead.

Frost claims that Guilford attacked him, and that he acted in self-defense. He first tried to Tase him for not complying, but when the taser didn't work, Guilford stood up and started hitting Frost in the face. Frost then shot Guilford seven times, killing him.

The prosecutor in the case reviewed the evidence and agreed with the officer's account, calling Guilford the aggressor and concluding that Frost acted in self-defense.
