Speaking to an overflow crowd of more than 1,200 in Dearborn on Monday night, Republican candidate Ron Paul called for a restoration of domestic liberties and an end to overseas military action.

''Both left and right undermine our liberties,'' Paul said at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. The U.S. needs to get back to ''a true republic.''

Paul spoke on the eve of the Michigan Republican primary to an audience that cheered when he called for no more foreign wars, massive cuts in spending, and an audit of the Federal Reserve.
