While I was trying to be funny, I should add that what this teacher said was true.  In the downtown area, without notice -- which I have been with large groups that drop in on restaurants unexpectedly to eat lunch or dinner -- Hooters is the only restaurant to welcome and reliably sit and serve a large group in the downtown area of Phoenix without notice.  This teacher did nothing wrong and Hooters is a fine restaurant.  Who care about owls.

What is wrong with taking a group of students to an environmentally friendly restaurant?  I mean these guys have such concern for the owl it isn't even funny!

Besides a real education was provided.
