Mass. school denies suspending student for drawing

• AP
A Massachusetts school district on Tuesday night denied a father's claims that his son was suspended for drawing a stick figure of Jesus on a cross.

The Taunton School District said in a written statement that the second-grade student was never suspended over the sketch and that a drawing circulated to reporters by the boy's father, Chester Johnson, is not the same one that was discovered by the teacher.

So there was a drawing?

And what was THIS drawing of?

And this drawing made you send the boy to psychological evaluation/ suspension from school?

Does it strike anyone as curious that the school officials manage to tell you what the boy's father was claiming, but completely fail in describing what the "true" situation was?  And that the "reporter" was so incurious as to not bother asking anything and just modify an obvious press release from the school?
