Every religion and culture has their embarrassing bumpkins and their violent retards.  For the Jews, many live in the Old City; specifically the Mea Shearim.  These gems think Moshiach's arrival is hastened by cheering Arab terror attacks (dating all the way back to the slitting of women and children's throats during the riots in the 1920's), free-form stoning of fellow Jews, and shaving their own women's heads to reduce the grasp of Satan (via Lilith) on "good" Jewish men.  Spitting on Priests is right up their alley.  Feh.
