OK I got a "diversity" story for you.

Our son walks in the door from school one day with his head hanging low. A quick visual showed no signs of wedgee, pink belly or indian rope burns to I asked him what was wrong.

He said his day went horribly at school that everybody had to take a "racially diverse role" and his role was to play the part of Li Chen, a Chinese immigrant, so in his words, they spent the day yelling at him and making him feel like he didn't belong in this culture.

WHICH MIGHT HAVE HAD SOME EDUCATIONAL VALUE IF OUR SON WASN'T A FULL CHIPPEWA. LIKE HE ALREADY IS A MINORITY AND SURVIVOR OF GENOCIDE.

Talk about ironic. I called the school and asked them how many more times are they gonna make our kids pay for something they didn't do AND THAT WAS BEFORE THE BAILOUTS.

Kids ask me what they should study in college now. I used to tell them to learn Chippewa so they had a connection to their past. Now I tell them to learn Mandarin so they have a future.

Li Chen, they yell at you today and you will yell at them tomorrow.
