1 Comments in Response to Obama Administration Begins Opposition To States Claiming Sovereignty And Gun Rights
For Sotomayor to say that the Second Amendment doesn't apply to the states is the foulest sort of judicial "activism," since the Second Amendment was written to confirm a natural right, not to create or define a right. The second amendment also says: "Shall not be infringed," whereas the first amendment says, "Congress shall make no law." If either of these were said to not apply to the states, it would be the first, not the second. "Shall not be infringed" obviously means "by anybody." Sotomayor is a traitor to the Constitution of the United States and should not sit on any bench in the nation, certainly not on the Supreme Court.
