I have to buy a gun with a serial number stamped in it? That's OK, I just print my own.
Steel guns last way longer than my plastic gun? That's OK, I just print a replacement on demand.
Barrels leave a unique set of scratches on the bullet? I guess I will have to print up a replacement.
My plastic gun isn't detected by your metal detectors? Thanks for the info. I think I'll print a backup piece.
