This seems to be a glorified form of the Frank Stelzer, Free Flying Piston engine. He built his first one in 1960. You can find videos of it in operation on Youtube. --- Stelzer spent his family fortune on it to make it work. Nobody wanted it to further develop it, even though all the car companies looked, including Volkswagen. Stelzer was German. --- A properly built Stelzer engine could utilize detonation, a force some 50 times greater than the standard burn in a car engine. The upgraded Stelzer engine that the Israelis made could drive a car all over the world for pennies on the dollar.
