Venezuelan Presidency Legally Vacant?

There's no ambiguity about President Nicolas Maduro's legitimacy. US-designated convenient puppet/usurper in waiting Guaido has none.

Nor does Wall Street Journal paranoid propagandist Mary O'Grady - paid by Rupert Murdoch to lie and denounce Latin and Central American governments refusing to sell their soul to Washington.

"Venezuelans are not divided. Juan Guaido is the legitimate interim president," she roared, wrong on both counts but not deterred from her defamation of social democracy mission, Maduro its legitimate leader in Venezuela.

Deconstructing her Big Lies requires restraint to keep it civil. She's that over-the-top, a self-styled Latin American columnist know-nothing, blustering:

"Welcome to Venezuela, where a military dictatorship (sic) is struggling to put down a popular revolt (sic). Millions (sic) turned out again in the nation's streets on Saturday to demand a return to democracy (sic)."

What's wrong with the above remarks? Everything! O'what's her name supports real tinpot despots in Latin America and elsewhere allied with Washington's imperial agenda.

What's going on in Venezuela has nothing to do with a "popular revolt," everything to do with an old-fashioned US coup attempt to topple a democratically elected government it wants replaced with a right-wing extremist one it controls.

O'what's her name's millions in the streets were a mirage. On weekdays last week, small crowds turned out for Guaido, much larger ones for Maduro, larger ones for both on the weekend, nothing remotely close to "millions" for Guaido.

O'Grady and others falsely portray democratically Maduro otherwise, part of the malicious, media supported, propaganda campaign, vilifying him to unjustifiably justify the ongoing attempted coup.

No "brutal crackdown using surgical strikes" is going on, no actions by "ruthless commandos," no "Maduro goons."

Street violence is CIA-orchestrated, one of its longstanding tactics, police protecting ordinary Venezuelans from what's going on. Bolivarian social democracy is too precious to lose.

O'what's her name calls it "antidemocratic," puppet Guaido "the country's interim president."

Elected by whom? Nobody! By how many votes? None!

Like Trump regime hardliners, O'Grady turned truth on its head. falsely claiming Guaido acted legally in declaring himself interim president - following orders from Washington she failed to explain. Nothing in Venezuelan constitutional, statute, or international law justifies what's going on.

Claiming last May's presidential election "didn't meet minimum democratic standards" is a bald-faced Big Lie - an O'what's her name specialty.

The same goes for Washington's criminal class, nary a legitimate democrat in the nation's capital, pretenders only, along with warmakers and coup plotters.

As for O' what's her name, she gives pressitution new meaning. No respectable publisher and editor would tolerate her or anyone else saying Guaido "has the law on his side, the moral high ground and the support of civilized nations."

He's got nothing but the might of rogue state America's aim to transform Venezuela into a sinkhole of endless violence, chaos, and human misery - what it's done to all nations it attacked.
