Drudge Report one liner:
The government plans big revisions to historical economic data...
Developing...
Traditionally changes to economic data have been politically driven, including the change in focus from CPI to "core" CPI and from GNP to GDP.
"Big revisions" in an activist government like Obama's is not a good sign.
In the absence of any ability on the part of the congress people or the administration to understand that they are restrained by natural law as defined in the Constitution, and seeing as they are much more motivated to serve their masters
WARNING! DANGER! CAUTION! Your life, and your children’s lives could be at risk! You see, there is danger lurking everywhere, behind every building, around every corner, in every cabinet.
As I have previously documented, Larry Summers is a big fat idiot.
Unfortunately, idiocy is not limited to the White House economic team.
Barney Frank - the congress member taking the laboring oar in "solving" the economic crisis - is also a big fat idiot.
Frank is calling for credit default swaps to be limited to the giant "market makers".
Given that it was the giants trading in cds which brought down the economy (see this and this), Frank's proposal would be like saying that only convicted arsonists can work on the fire department's fire suppression team.

Newly declassified documents reveal that an active member of Students for a Democratic Society and Port Militarization Resistance in Washington state was actually an informant for the US military. The man everyone knew as “John Jacob” was in fact John Towery, a member of the Force Protection Service at Fort Lewis. The military’s role in the spying raises questions about possibly illegal activity. The Posse Comitatus law bars the use of the armed forces for law enforcement inside the United States. The Fort Lewis military base denied our request for an interview. But in a statement to Democracy Now, the base’s Public Affairs office publicly acknowledged for the first time that Towery is a military operative. “This could be one of the key revelations of this era,” said Eileen Clancy, who has closely tracked government spying on activist organizations.
It is my pleasure to devote my space today to one of the great unsung heroine patriots of America, Barbara Ketay, who labors in the trenches day after day to warn her fellow Americans of the New World Order despots . . .

For the first time since territorial days, rain will be free for the
catching here, as more and more thirsty states part ways with one of
the most entrenched codes of the West.
Precipitation, every last drop or flake, was assigned ownership from
the moment it fell in many Western states, making scofflaws of people
who scooped rainfall from their own gutters. In some instances, the
rights to that water were assigned a century or more ago.
Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann expressed concern when learning that

Senators in order to get their dealership back. Congresswoman Bachmann stated, “We have gangster government when the Federal Government has set up a new cartel and private businesses now have to go begging with their hand out to their local—hopefully well politically connected—Congressman or their Senator so they can buy a peace offering for that local business.

President Obama this afternoon will announce a series of proposals that would involve the government much more deeply in the private markets, from helping to steer consumers into affordable mortgage loans to imposing new limits on the largest financial companies, in a sweeping effort to prevent the kinds of risk-taking that sparked the economic crisis.
The plan is an attempt to overhaul an outdated system of financial regulations, the president plans to say in a speech later today.
