Mesh networks can provide off-grid comms resistant to detection, locating

Beartooth is a company that previously made their money as a communications equipment provider for the military. The military has been (and still is) utilizing off-grid mesh network communications for decades and in fact pioneered its development and evolution. Their applications have demanded and required preventing the enemy from not only listening in, but also preventing position disclosure when transmitting, to prevent counter-battery artillery being sent by the enemy to the radio signal's location of origin.
