TOP GUN is now a trilogy. TOP GUN 3 with Tom Cruise returning as Maverick is reportedly in development at Paramount. TOP GUN still has a long ways to go to catch Cruise's MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE franchise which is set to release its 8th film in 2025.
