Alex Jones has gained nearly a million followers in the days following his triumphant return to X, much to the horror of the mainstream media.

The Southern Poverty Law Center on Friday lamented how quickly Jones amassed over 800,000 followers since his reinstatement to X last weekend."Twitter suspended Jones's account on Sept. 6, 2018, and archives show Jones with roughly 900,000 followers at that time. Jones initially signed up for Twitter in 2010. It took Jones eight years to reach 900,000 – and in span of days, he nearly doubled it to 1.7 million," wrote Michael Edison Hayden.

The @RealAlexJones account now has 1.8 million followers on X as of this writing.

SPLC however, argued without evidence that the majority of those new followers could be "bots."
