Yesterday, I fired off a couple of hot tweets that got a response from a curious non-living character — allegedly a government-contracted trollbot powered by Artificial Intelligence!

What's going on — you ask? Well, the big brains over at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) have hired a New York- based private contractor to "deploy" an AI program called Argus which is being billed as a system "to detect and neutralize real-time disinformation threats on social media."

What's Argus? What kind of replies does an AI chatbot compose when it's sent to troll you?
