The Wild Bunch is a place to explore subjects and solutions to centralized tyranny which are rarely if ever covered by the rest of the alternative media. Meaning, we talk about direct action measures along with more passive strategies.

There is a wealth of information on defense on the web, though the majority of it is outlined within minimal threat scenarios.  Anyone can find a million books and videos on how to deal with a single attacker or small group of attackers, but what about the danger of civil unrest or  military invasion?  How does one defend against mass threat scenarios?

I've found that the best possible teaching examples can be found in actual national collapse and combat events, and there is a large number of these examples in the past 20 years.  The wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria as well as the conflict in Ukraine give us a microscope into the ways in which insurgencies work and the ways in which modern military weaponry functions in real battlefield environments.  So much can be learned from these four situations it's enough to fill several books.  I don't have that kind of space, but I can break down the fundamentals.

In Issue #99 of the Wild Bunch (almost to #100 folks!), we will examine the successes and failures of defense in recent collapse environments; specifically, the kinds of locations and terrains that have been useful in defending against attacks by technologically advanced armies.  If you're going to prepare, then you must prepare for the worst.
