Tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has officially overtaken former Vice President Mike Pence in the national polls as he continues to bring the heat in the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

According to polling data from Real Clear Politics, Ramaswamy surpassed Pence with 5.9 percent of the vote for the Republican nominee, while Pence received 5.7 percent.

Ramaswamy, who entered the political arena as a fresh face in politics, has seen his support surge as of late and has tied in a few polls with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, proving that he is a serious contender. However, both he and DeSantis remain dozens of points behind longtime frontrunner Donald Trump.

Donald Trump continues to dominate all GOP challengers by a 31.7 point lead, and according to the poll, 51 percent of respondents say that they will support Trump in the Republican primary.
