Five people have died and six others have been wounded 

Dispatchers on police scanners have indicated that the shooting occurred on the first floor of the Old National Bank

Metro police have now 'neutralized' the gunman at the bank 

Five people have died and at least six others have been wounded, including at least one police officer, in a shooting outside the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky. 

It is believed that the death toll includes the shooter, who apparently did not steal from the bank, in the area of the 300 block of East Main Street in the downtown area of the city — located just hours from Nashville, where a gunman recently opened fire at a Christian school and killed six people.

Dispatchers heard on the police scanners have indicated that the shooting occurred on the first floor of the building, which is in front of Louisville Slugger Stadium. 

Metro police have said they 'neutralized' the gunman at the bank, where terrified workers tried to shelter inside a vault.
