Eadie grew up in the 40s, where Native American children were placed in boarding schools for education and cultural integration, and as a result had a Catholic boarding school education. "I was only 4," she said. "And all I knew, coming from that, was I was taken from my parents." Eadie described herself as extremely timid, and unable to stand up for herself. But she had a younger sister she was protective of, and if someone picked on her, Eadie would be the first one there.
