The table was nicely laid for it over many years, including, by the way, Mr. Trump's vaunted gift of weaponry to Ukraine, which enabled and emboldened the Kiev regime to harass the Russian-speaking population of Donbas without relent. And the situation was aggravated by the deliberate negotiation-unworthiness (Russian term) of "Joe Biden" and Company, who refused to discuss the chief issue between the US and Russia, namely, the dishonest effort, in violation of written agreements dating from 1990, to enlist Ukraine in NATO, and thereby to place missiles on Russia's border. The US disallowed something very similar in 1962, when the old USSR tried to put missiles in Cuba.
