Abbott gave a press conference yesterday during which he said all restrictions would be lifted on March 10.

"Too many Texans have been sidelined from employment opportunities," Abbott said. "Too many small business owners have struggled to pay their bills. This must end. It is now time to open Texas 100%."

However, numerous respondents said they would defy the lifting of the mandate by continuing to cover their faces and demanding others do the same.

Some also asserted that would continue to boycott businesses that don't enforce mask mandates.

"Dear fellow Texans, please ignore this man. He doesn't give a damn whether you live or die. He's concerned with profits — not people. Continue as you were until more people are vaccinated," asserted one respondent.
