Porsche shared today a few exterior sketches of the production version of the Taycan model, scheduled for premiere in September.

The all-electric Porsche reminds us of the concept Mission E and maintains brand identity. Michael Mauer, Head of Style Porsche said that the Taycan's proportions are unique.

Designing a sporty BEV brings some challenges like the position of the batteries. Instead of a simple flat skateboard, Porsche opted for so-called "foot garages" to keep the height low.

"In terms of design, this is initially expressed in the proportions. Sports cars have a more dramatic width-to-height ratio than other vehicles. And I would go so far as to say that we have redefined the architecture of purely electric vehicles to a certain extent.
