Nick Clegg insisted that MPs have the power to stop Brexit as he claimed that British people were fed lies by the Vote Leave campaign. 

Featuring in an interview with BBC Radio 5, Mr Clegg was greeted in a Brussels train station by a radio host who began the interview.

Mr Clegg discussed his train journey and said that he was neither greeted with a "hero or villain welcome" but branded the Eurostar the "commuter equivalent of the Remoaners' Express". 

Mr Clegg called on MPs to "endorse" his vision to destroy Brexit, despite MPs overwhelmingly backing the triggering of Article 50 in March this year.
