This Creative Vending Machine Prints Short Stories To Read While Waiting

• http://www.trueactivist.com, By Amanda Froelich

Most people aimlessly stare at their phones and flip through apps while waiting in line. What if, people instead chose to read creative short stories? This is what literature-loving company Short Édition seeks to make happen, which is why it has been installing vending machines all over France that dispense intriguing stories for those who seek to pass time.

Whether one is stuck at the airport, waiting for a train to arrive, or accompanying their significant other on a lengthy trip to the mall, the inventive stalls promise to pass time in an enjoyable way. As MyModernMet reports, each vending machine is sleek in design and requires minimal effort to use. One simply need to choose their desired reading time: 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Then, the machine will disperse a randomly selected short story guaranteed to entertain.

The first "Short Story Dispenser" appeared at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport in 2016. Since then, the machines have been installed in various public places across France. If you're interested in seeking one out, visit Short Édition on its websiteTwitter, and Facebook
