A recent Facebook post this week, by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, highlights the utter failure that is the war on drugs.

No longer do the majority of Americans buy into the reefer madness that was used for decades to wage a racist and vile campaign that destroyed everything it touched. However, in spite of the fact that they are losing the information war, the dinosaur drug warriors continue to charge on — after all, their paychecks and pensions depend on it.

A recent Facebook post this week, by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, highlights the utter failure that is the war on drugs. On Sunday morning, the department took to social media to brag about a pot bust that took place overnight. The poorly written post read as follows:

The mindset that this department has to have to brag, publicly, about kidnapping and caging otherwise entirely innocent people for possessing a plant is telling, to say the least. However, as the comments below the Facebook post illustrate, this mindset is changing.
