In 2010, James Fox, the founder of the Prison Yoga Project, asked me to find a space in New York so that he could train his yoga teachers. I did, and feeling responsible for the space, I ended up helping to organize the training. By the end, the participants looked to me for guidance as to what the next steps might be.
