Trump Aide: US Aid for Israel 'Won't Be Limited'

• antiwar.com by Jason Ditz

One day after the Obama Administration signed a record $38 billion military aid package for Israel, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's top Israel aide is suggesting that if elected, a Trump Administration would give Israel far more.

The aide, attorney David Friedman, presented the Obama aide package as "a first step, with much more that still needs to be done." He presented the deal as having limitations, and insisted a Trump government "will not be limited in its support for Israel by the terms of the MOU."

The memorandum of understanding seeks to prevent Israel from seeking more money for the 10-year duration of the current package, according to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R – SC), who is trying to pass a bill giving Israel billions more to one-up the White House.

Netanyahu is supposedly obliged by the deal not to accept any extra money Graham tries to send Israel, unless it is earmarked for certain specific things.
