Jason Lee (above), an athlete down in Rio training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, reported he was kidnapped and forced at gunpoint to go to two ATMs to withdraw money.

But he wasn't just kidnapped by anyone… he was kidnapped by the military police.

The police apparently pulled him over and forced him into their car with guns, then drove him to the ATMs where they extracted 2000 Reais (equivalent of about $611 USD) from him.

Via the New Zealand Herald:

Lee said he was kidnapped by people in police uniforms, "not by some random people with guns."

He added "I was threatened with arrest if I did not get in their private car and accompany them to two ATMs to withdraw a large sum of money for a bribe.
