Carly recalled a lullaby she sings to Ted Cruz's children from the lectern. Before he introduced his VP choice, Cruz told the crowd Fiorina often sings lullabies to his two young daughters when she is on the campaign trail with the candidate. Cruz said Fiorina enjoys texting "heart and smiley-faced emoticons" to his daughters.

"I know two girls who I just adore. I am so happy I can see them more. Because we travel on the bus on the day, we get to play, we get to play," Fiorina sang.
