Trump Loses Appeal To Shut Down Scottish Wind Farms

• True Activist

Green and clean energy? That's something to get excited about, right? Not if you're Donald Trump and more concerned about comforting the elite than benefiting all of Earth's inhabitants.

In 2013, the Scottish government approved the building of 11 wind farms in an effort to stimulate the local economy and encourage renewable energy. Most everyone was excited about the development – except Donald Trump.

The Republican front-runner sued the Scottish government to stop the wind farms since they would be located 3.5 kilometers, just over two miles, away from his luxury hotel, Trump Turnberry Resort.

The attraction, which was approved by the government in 2010 (though it received considerable opposition from locals and environmentalists), includes golf courses, conference rooms, and luxury lodging.

Fortunately, the U.K. Supreme Court unanimously shot down the business tycoon's case and the wind farms will be built.
