I have a bit of a fascination with old cold case files pertaining to missing persons. Every now and then when I have some time I go hunting for a new cold case file on a missing person to study up on.

One of the places I check into occasionally for missing persons info is /r/unresolvedmysteries at reddit. They don't solely focus on missing persons but I can usually find a case or two there about a missing person I've not heard of before.

The other night I was browsing there and this thread was on fire. It is one of the higher upvoted threads I've seen over there in a while. The title caught my attention for the obvious reasons despite the fact that it is not about a missing person.
