It's no secret that the iPhone has long been praised for its good if not decent battery life, so much so that a report from the Business Insider four years ago placed the iPhone's battery life as one of the reasons why consumers should buy Apple's smartphone and not devices powered by Google's mobile operating system, the Android OS.

This year, several reviews noted the iPhone's battery life advantage over Android devices. The Verge, a website known for its "pro Apple" stance, said the iPhone is the best smartphone you can buy today, because "it has the battery life."
