GMO Foods: To Label or Not to Label?

• dailypaul.com
At one end of the spectrum, anarcho-capitalists would seek to end all government intervention in the market – including the mandatory labeling of foods – while minarchist libertarians would seek to have government perform only minimal roles that are thought to be too inconvenient for private entities to handle – of which mandating food labeling may be among these roles depending on the person asked. All libertarians agree on at least one thing – the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP).

The NAP states that no individual (or group of individuals) has the right to initiate force against another except in cases of defense of natural rights. It is true that – if this principle were devoutly adhered to by all of society – the institution of government would be unnecessary.
