The Senate has cleared the way for a final vote tomorrow on the National Defense Authorization Act, a provision of which would empower the U.S. military to operate on American soil, arrest American citizens and cart them off to detention centers anywhere in the world.

After the failure yesterday of an amendment that would have weakened Section 1031 of the NDAA bill, which would turn the entire “homeland” into a battlefield and allow the military to arrest individuals accused of being terrorists and detain them indefinitely without trial, the Senate voted 88-12 today to limit debate on the legislation, clearing it for passage tomorrow.

“A final vote on the bill could come as early as Thursday,” reports the Associated Press.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

You get what you vote for! this isn't the boggest crock of shit to come our way, but we can see it from here. I've been screaming about this for over 25 years. I didn't think anyone cared then, and I doubt anyone cares now!

Now you know why so-called law enforcement has been "militarizing" for the last two decades. There has to be a sytem in place for the military to co-opt. Actually, if a bunch of thugs are going to run the streets, armed with automatic weapons, I'd rather they were trained military personnel than the gang of poorly or untrained gestapo misfits and thugs who are out there now.

Actual;ly, I pine for the days when we could still look to the Constitution for social order and direction.

And they will do it.The American Military is worthless for anything other than Killing Innocent Men,Women, and Children in an Unconstitutional War...and their parents raised them to think that way,or!, they have all been drugged. Today`s Soldiers, and Marines, and all other Military members are disgusting at most.Pvt Smith will Kill Pvt Jones family, and Pvt Jones will Kill Pvt Smiths family, and so on...It`s allot easier that way.To the Parents of today`s Military......YOU SUCK!!
