Ron Paul Float in Flagstaff Parade Huge Success (video)

• YouTube
Fourty Supporters of the good Doctor took the R3VOLUTION to Flagstaff from as far away as San Diego, and you couldn't find happier people anywhere!

We were clearly the largest and most well-coordinated group in the entire parade, according to many comments made to us after it was over.  As many as ten thousand people watched as we marched, chanted, SMILED, and handed out every last piece of material we brought.  Balloons, bumper stickers, buttons, hundreds of flyers of about two dozen different types, dvd's, plus candy for the kiddies.

It wasn't suprising that only a small percentage of the crowd took our handouts, but those who did wanted them badly, and depleted our supply before we reached the end of the route.

Once we were back at the starting point and began breaking down the float for travel back to Phoenix, there is only one word that describes the mood of the participants, and that is ELATION.  It went so well and we were such a big success, everyone has so exhuberent it was like walking on air.  There is such a good feeling participating in events like these that some people just can't get enough, and took signs into the downtown Flagstaff area where an arts festival was taking place.

As an Organizer, I am privy to the statistics of the overall comings and goings of our Phoenix Ron Paul MeetUp Group; and what I see happening now correlates directly to the last Campaign.  Our Membership spikes are in the same timeframe, only the numbers are somewhat higher than last time due to 'name recognition'.  If this is any indication, our next Membership Drive (correlating with the first one of the last Campaign) should bring in a significant number of new Members, and the 'events' will start to roll.  Quickly.

What I see on the horizon is so much bigger than anyone realizes, and the time that most think we have 'plenty of', is not so much 'shorter', but ALREADY HERE!

Enjoy the video.  It was taken by Cindy, the local Flagstaff Organizer who donated the fee for the float entry, and split the cost of the helium with us.  Give her a good rating, please.  She deserves it.

Got Liberty?

No?!?

Well, WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO TO GET IT BACK?

These kids are not only the INSPIRATION, but the FUTURE.

That was a nice turnout.  The only thing that would have made it better would have been an officious person with a fine hat and a shiny badge (and maybe a gun, taser, club, & pepper spray) running out and screaming, "You can have that in the parade!!!!"
