Icelanders shout "theater" in midst of crowded fire; Elites tremble in silent impotence.

Uploader's comment: The only thing that bugs me about Iceland's recent election, in which 87% (!!!?) of the population of Reykjavik turned out and elected "The Best Party", a 6-month old effort comprised exclusively of singers and entertainers, headed up by a popular comedian, and that is: "why am I only hearing about this now?" (A: this party has sworn to repudiate Iceland's illegally incurred debt?)

This story is so big that it should have been front page everything, at least in my world. This may even be one of the only valid solutions to the Ernest Hancock voting dilemma that still involves actual voting. I mean, WOW! Heck with riots and strikes! This is it!

The article features the music video that helped them win. A must watch, especially for Sugar Cubes fans. It may seem to some that winning a city election is not such a big deal, but let me assure you that it is a big deal when two thirds of the nation's population lives there.
