Landmark health bill passes House in dead of weekend night on close vote

• McClatchy News
The House of Representatives Saturday passed, by a vote of 220 to 215, historic health care legislation that would require virtually all Americans to obtain health insurance and create a government-run health insurance plan to help them do so.

If passed by the Senate, the bill would bring about the most sweeping change in the American health care system since Medicare was created 44 years ago.

I appreciate the comment but its splitting hairs.  Like it or not, we're all collectively responsible for "our" legislature until we rise up and denounce both them and the rest of the criminal government.  Sad but true.

Jet,  I agree with your response except for one element.  Why in God's name do you refer to THEM as OUR legislature?  I disassociated myself from THEM many years ago.

Did you expect anything more, or rather less, from our legislature, a body that seems to commit high treason on a daily basis?

Sure, that "see-you-next-Tuesday" Nancy Pelosi can ram hotly contested legislation like Health Care and the Waxman-Markey bill up our collective anal canal, but they can't seem to bring Ron Paul's "Audit the Fed" (HR 1207) bill before the House, even though it has 309 f*cking co-sponsors.

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

This forced insurance with it's death panels, rationed care, and fines attached to it could very well start to bring about those "Unintended Consequences" that John Ross wrote about.
