Using the basis for Medicare, let's apply this to the bill mentioned here.
In 1965, Medicare expenditures were estimated to be $9 billion in 1990.
Actually 1990 expenditures. $67 billion. Only missed by a factor of more than 7.
So, let's apply this to this idiotic bill. 10 cost $856 billion. Actually estimated costs - nearly $6.5 trillion. I wouldn't be surprised if it cost more.
