What would happen if your city, county, state or this nation started celebrating a Natural Family Month starting on Mother's day and ending on Father's day? You know, one biological man and woman in a lifelong committed, monogamous relationship with their children - biological or adopted. Let's call that a best practice if you will. This instead of a feel good, anything goes environment which more often than not leaves children stuck without one of their parents. Would it not be a positive approach which leaves the lost scratching their heads wondering why we are not complaining like we usually do? By the way this would be the most inclusive celebration ever because it includes everyone who is a child and/ or parent or in short a family member of one sort or another. Instead of complaining about the darkness how about lighting a candle starting on May 12? NOTE:This is a correction to my first send.
