Isaiah 59:1,2: "Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." So,it is not God. Rather, it is you and your focus (subconsciously) on your sins, without immersing yourself in the knowledge of the forgiveness done by Jesus. God isn't going to - and maybe can't - force salvation on anybody. You need to get into God's Word, the Bible, (and It into you) in a big way, with a willingness to believe all God says even though you don't understand much of It. Jesus says, Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." If you don't get what you ask for, does that mean that Jesus was lying? Or that you have very weak faith? Faith: "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."
