Is US-Dominated NATO Seeking a Face-Saving Way to End Support for Ukraine?

by Stephen Lendman

Straightaway after it began, the triumph of Russia's well-planned and executed SMO in Ukraine was certain.

Pretense otherwise by the empire of lies, its NATO vassals, puppet Zelensky and MSM press agents has been wrongheaded all along.

While it's unclear precisely how much more battering Ukraine's largely conscript military can take before collapsing, that's where things are heading.

Biden regime hardliners and their Western counterparts know nothing about military strategy.

Even US/Western intelligence is suspect.

Noted military analyst Andrei Martyanov minced no words saying that "the US — and by extension the West — never had a clear picture on anything, especially (not about) Russia."

There's no ambiguity about reality on the ground in Ukraine.

No matter how many more billions of dollars US/NATO regimes throw at Kiev, the outcome of Russia's SMO won't change.

Is what passes for US/Western intelligence beginning to accept what's indisputable?

Are their ruling regimes beginning to sour on pouring more billions down a black hole of waste, fraud and abuse by continuing support for Ukraine's greatly degraded military?

Do they want a face-saving way to end support for Ukraine — to cease throwing good money after what's been wasted on a lost cause?

Was that motive behind a NYT report that the empire of lies "lacks a clear picture of Ukraine's war strategy (sic)?"

Since the Obama/Biden regime's Feb. 2014 Maidan coup in Kiev, hegemon USA established control over its territory and ruling class.

The Pentagon and CIA orchestrated and directed over 8 years of Ukraine's aggression on Donbass.

The same reality applies to using Kiev foot soldiers to wage US/NATO proxy hot war on Russia since its SMO began over 100 days ago.

What's going on is controlled by the Pentagon and CIA.

What the Times called "Ukraine's war strategy" was made-in-the-USA.

Claiming that US intelligence knows "far more about Russia's military" than Ukraine's is utter nonsense.

The empire of lies controls Ukrainian military operations.

It knows less about all things Russia than it pretends to know.

As for puppet Zelensky, he knows little more than what his US/Western handlers tell him.

Like the fake Biden, he's largely detached from reality otherwise — figureheads running nothing, both not competent to run anything.

The fake news Times report may be part of a Biden regime plan to cut its losses in Ukraine.

If that's what's planned, more MSM reports like what the Times published will likely appear ahead.

The US ruling class won't ever admit that Russia outwitted, outmaneuvered and defeated its diabolical aims on all things Ukraine.

Blaming know-nothing Zelensky may be what's planned — by nonsensically claiming that he didn't keep his US master informed, or that he forgot who's boss.

Having transformed a molehill figure into someone bigger than life by the power of endlessly repeated propaganda, what the empire of lies created it can take apart by changing the narrative.

Or maybe CIA hitmen will eliminate him by an unfortunate accident — or missile strike to falsely blame on Russia.

Given reality on the ground in Ukraine and largely liberated Donbass, has the process of discrediting, defrocking, and/or eliminating Zelensky already begun by blaming him for US/Western screw-ups?

Hegemon USA's defeatist exit from the rooftop of its Saigon embassy on April 30, 1975 marked the end of its lost war — what John Pilger called "the grand illusion of the American cause" in Southeast Asia.

Will US adventurism in Ukraine end in similar fashion ahead?

Will the monster it created be its own undoing in central Europe?

Will Russia emerge stronger and more resilient when its SMO ends?

In May 1964, Lyndon Johnson admitted the following about reality in Southeast Asia, saying:

"We're in quicksand up to our necks, and I just don't know what the hell to do about it."

In 1965, Johnson's war secretary, Robert McNamara, told him that war in Vietnam was unwinnable.

Yet it raged for another decade before hegemon USA threw in the towel.

Will something similar play out in Ukraine v. Russia over a much shorter timeframe?

The empire of lies is its own worst enemy.

Living by the sword is self-defeating — a lesson the US never learned and likely won't until it's too late to matter.

Hegemon USA is declining while China, Russia and other nations free from its control are rising in prominence on the world stage.

Short of humanity destroying nuclear war — an ominous possibility — history's dustbin awaits hegemon USA's arrival like all previous empires in world history.
