(a)
In order to satisfy section 654 (20)(A) of this title, each State must have in effect laws requiring the use of the following procedures, consistent with this section and with regulations of the Secretary, to increase the effectiveness of the program which the State administers under this part:
(13) Recording of social security numbers in certain family matters.— Procedures requiring that the social security number of—
(A) any applicant for a professional license, driver’s license, occupational license, recreational license, or marriage license be recorded on the application;
(B) any individual who is subject to a divorce decree, support order, or paternity determination or acknowledgment be placed in the records relating to the matter; and
(C) any individual who has died be placed in the records relating to the death and be recorded on the death certificate.

Briefly:
The 666 number in Revelation has to do with buying and selling. Take a look. You won't be able to buy or sell without the 666 number.
The number is found either in the forehead or the hand. These two things, the forehead and the hand, symbolize thinking about something (the forehead), and doing something (the hand).
Scripture interprets Scripture. The other places in Scripture where the 666 number is listed talk about gold.
Now, throw in the Bible passage that goes: "For the love of money is the root of all evil."
When you put this all together - and a whole lot more, as well - you will see that the 666 number is really nothing more than greed... the quest for power by storing and hoarding money, which is really stored up labor of people.
Certainly there may be many places where the 666 number is used to oppress people. But all of it revolves around power and control through the use of money.
666 is not something new. It has been here since the beginning of time.
