http://www.nickcoonsforcongress.com/ Go to his site and see why Arizona patriots are willing to give up their time and money to support the Nick Coons congressional race. Nick Coons will work with Ron Paul, Adam Kokesh, Rand Paul, and Peter Shiff to correct the egregious attack on our liberties by the united States government.

Libertarianism holds that each person has the right to their life, liberty, and justly acquired property; that each person is free to make their own life decisions, so long as they don't infringe on the same rights of others, and should take responsibility for the consequences of those decisions. Government should not be imposing these decisions on us.
Nick Coons for Congress - 2010

I am not a professional politician; I've never held any public office. Based on my credentials, I am not what the average American would view as today's politician. And in my book, all of these are positive attributes. The founders of this country envisioned a "citizen legislator" that lived a real life and made a real contribution to society, not a career politician that lived off the taxpayer's dime.

My goals as a Congressman would be simply to remove government interference from our lives and reduce it to its intended duty, as prescribed by the Constitution, of protecting individual liberties.
Why Vote Libertarian?

The purpose of government is to protect individual liberties and defend us from foreign invaders. The Democrats and Republicans have forgotten the role of the government, and instead want to involve themselves in every aspect of our lives. Because of the actions of the two major parties, almost everything we do that's important in our lives involves requesting government permission. If you want to fly on a plane, start a business, get a job, get married, or build a house, we must get permission from the government in one form or another. This is all under the guise of protecting us from ourselves because politicians think they know how to run our lives better than we do.

Since the founding of the Libertarian Party in 1971, we have promoted a very simple and principled philosophy -- That every person has a right to their life, liberty, and justly-acquired property. If we lived by that golden rule, our society would be much better in virtually every way.

I don't want to run your lives. I seek office to remove the restrictions that government has placed on this country that have hindered its prosperity. If this seems like a sound, effective, and moral philosophy to you, please consider joining the Libertarian Party and supporting Libertarian candidates for office.
