Iran Foiled Over 100 Terrorist Plots in Last Two Years

Iran's sovereign independence makes it a leading target for US, Israeli, and Saudi destabilization efforts.

On Thursday, Iranian Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi said over 100 terrorist plots were foiled in the past two years.

"In recent days and months, we have witnessed heavy pressures from terrorists such that we have identified and arrested two-and-three-member teams or even lone terrorists every week," he explained - indicating the Islamic Republic is under constant threat of attack by foreign-backed extremist elements.

Wednesday's coordinated incidents are being thoroughly investigated, parties responsible for planning and orchestrating them likely to be discovered.

Clear evidence shows Saudi support for regional terrorism. It's the epicenter of Wahhabi extremism. "We see Saudi fingerprints in supporting terrorists in Syria and Iraq, and the world believes that the Saudi…ideology is behind terrorist movements," Alavi stressed.

Hours before Wednesday's terrorist attacks in Tehran, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubier trumpeted "Iran must be punished for its interference in the region" - meaning for its vital role in helping to defend Syrian sovereignty Riyadh, Washington and Israel want destroyed.

US-created ISIS, al-Nusra and likeminded terrorist groups follow extremist Wahhabi ideology.

Iran is Washington's main regional target for regime change. During his Muslim world address in Riyadh, Trump denigrated Iran.

He lied saying "Iran funds, arms, and trains terrorists…and other extremist groups that spread destruction and chaos across the region."

He lied accusing Iran of "fuel(ing) the fires of sectarian conflict and terror."

He lied claiming its "government…speaks openly of mass murder, vowing the destruction of Israel" and other regional states.

He lied saying "Iran's most tragic and destabilizing interventions have been in Syria."

He lied accusing Iran of "reckless pursuit of conflict and terror."

A White House statement following Wednesday's terrorist incidents in Tehran rang hollow, saying "(w)e grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times."

It lied adding "states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote." America, NATO, Israel and the Saudis are the world's leading perpetrators of state terrorism, the most ruthless kind of all.

In response to the White House statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted: "Repugnant WH statement & Senate sanctions as Iranians counter terror backed by US clients. Iranian people reject such US claims of friendship."

Separately, Zarif tweeted "(t)error-sponsoring despots threaten to bring the fight to our homeland. Proxies attack what their masters despise most: the seat of democracy."

The Washington-based National Iranian American Council blasted the White House comment, saying "(w)e underscore that administrations that cannot empathize with human suffering risk losing their humanity, and presidents that cannot genuinely recognize victims of terrorism are incapable of leading the fight against terrorism."

Key is explaining that perpetrators of state terrorism, along with supporters of ISIS and likeminded groups are part of the problem, not the solution to eliminating this scourge.

Congress intends imposing more sanctions on Iran - for "support(ing) acts of international terrorism" the phony pretext used.

Legislation sure to be enacted violates the letter and spirit of the Iran nuclear deal, more evidence that America can never be trusted on anything.
