There is no such thing as unsustainable resources -- food, energy, economy. These are replenished faster than consumed. The thinking that the world's resources are finite or limited was prevalent in Malthus' time -- it is now so medieval, as old as people of the olden days believed that the world is flat.There are still remnants of this belief today. For example, our economy does not shrink as time goes by. It is forever expanding. Technology is the common denominator to all these changes. Now we can create space in the air for humans to live ... create even humans in the lab, etc.  Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to accept the fact that the world is round, not flat ... so to speak!

Scaring people that the world would end because the supply of food and energy is going kaput if population expands because babies are not killed in the womb or at birth [infanticide] and people do not die of sickness, in war, famine, etc., is just a cure of neurosis and writing about it is only an outlet. Not quite ... before you can be discredit, you must first have a credit to your name.  He has not earned that credit yet ... perhaps never, the way he turns himself into a clown making people laught with his emotional joke warning them that they would fall over the edge if they don't listen to him, because in his mind the world is flat.

you people are forgetting there were different species of humans at one point. So homosapien population levels would have started to increase after we became dominate over the other human species and other beasts by working together and advancing how we interacted with each other. Back then death by beast was very common back then.

Neanderthals lived an estimated 24,000 to 32,000 years ago. So based off of that we gained our global population count 6.77 billion people in that time.

As stated above 23% of Earth is land. We removing massive amounts of land every day to fill growing wants and needs of our population. Think about how much land will be needed not just for housing, but industry, retail, and agriculture over just the next ten years. And that isn't including land needed for roads.

Awareness is needed, and our planet does not have unlimited resources. Hence why we are shifting to shale oil, fracking more often, proposing drilling and mining in nature reserves even if we know it will kill the wildlife. Just like the US economy, constantly spending resources we do not truly have is not sustainable forever.

Remember today is Earth Day April 22, 2011. America has such limitless resources and such space above and beneath that it could accommodate a billion people more in the next 100 million years! And it is still continuously creating new worlds … space on land, on the sea and ocean floor and beyond, and our technology is continuously creating and producing human resources more than we Americans need. We are in a state of food and wealth overload that we share it with the rest of the world.

Don’t get whacked by madcap anti-population crazies that Planet Earth will run out of food and energy. Modern technology can produce food out of any growing or living things beyond what humans need. Earth’s food and energy can outlast human existence on Earth for the next ten billion years, or for as long as the Sun shines and for as long as this planet stays in the Galaxy.

Gammill, it’s no use. Frosty can’t count, that’s why you can’t count on him.
