Dare to open Forbidden Gates? Scary scientific programs now underway within strong political undercurrents largely escape public notice, despite their posing huge questions about the fate of humanity. Tom and Nita Horn authored an insightfully researched book to warn us of a near-future paradigm shift in human society, a frightening plan to replace us “unenhanced” naturally reproduced humans as obsolete. Transhumanism is afoot!

Forbidden Gates tells “How genetics, robotics, artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, nanotechnology, and human enhancement herald the Dawn of Techno-Dimensional Spiritual Warfare." What it means to be human is being called into question. Do you suppose the fuss about population reduction, abortion, sterilization, euthanasia, famine, pandemic, and "rationed" health care plays any role in replacing us all with genetically engineered chimeras more servile and efficient? Why promote being "dumbed down" and childless?

Tom and Nita Horn help us recall a basic premise wherein invasive technically advanced cultures exploit, dominate, enslave, and destroy less advanced ones, much like the gun-toting conquistadors ravaged the indigenous people of the Americas who had none. The various survivors were “assimilated”, their cultures eradicated. The Horns raise the old issue of Religion versus Science, wherein scientists only ask “can we?” and theists, on moral grounds, ask “should we?” Will the politics of corporate profit decide?

Science is atheistic, unequipped to test the infinite or spiritual, yet comes to confer upon the fallible masters of science godly status and power who are asserting themselves as the highest achievement in evolutionary history under Darwin's “law of the jungle”. It is your tax dollars at work. Christians like the Horns recognize the Supreme Being, His law of love in inherent rights to free will maintaining sanctity of life in mind, body, and soul. The Holy Bible is cited often in their scholarly correlation with current events in the scientific political New World Order. Tom exposed this as built upon ancient pagan beliefs in his previous book, Apollyon Rising 2012. We watch for troops in riot gear, yet it is white lab coats and nice suits clothing the most dangerous foes of humanity who move by stealth among us.

The foe has been at work a long time, funded often with your tax dollars in projects now fostered by such as DARPA. Tom says “ Hitler’s aim was neither the founding of a race of supermen, nor the conquest of the world; these were only means towards the realization of the great work he dreamed of. His real aim was to perform an act of creation, a divine operation, the goal of biological mutation which would result in an unprecedented exaltation of the human race and the ’apparition of a new race of humans and demigods and godmen.” This recalls the biblical Nephilim in the days of Noah.

Framing The Spirit Behind Transhumanism, chapter nine opens by quoting some leaders. Leon R. Kass, former chairman of the President’s Council on Bioethics, bluntly states that “All of the boundaries are up for grabs. All of the boundaries that have defined us as human beings, boundaries between a human being and an animal and between a human being and a super human being or a god.” But Joel Garreau, author of Radical Evolution, opens chapter seven on a darker note. Horn quotes him saying “The ability to tinker with our genes offers the astounding promise --and peril -- of immortality, which mythically has been the defining difference between gods and mortals. It also offers the possibility of an even greater variety of breeds of humans than there is of dogs.”!!!! Who decides who is to be a micro-chipped pedigreed human “dog”, and who will be an immortal “god” ?

Professor Hugo De Garis, an artificial brain designer, goes a bit further declaring “The prospect of building godlike creatures fills me with a sense of religious awe that goes to the very depth of my soul and motivates me powerfully to continue, despite the possible horrible negative consequences.” Horn used that quote following Garreau’s in addressing The Coming Battle… in chapter seven. Do you want to see your children assimilated in a fashion similar to the “Borg” of Star Trek? Is resistance futile? Should people be micro-chipped, hive-minded drones genetically engineered and implanted with tools appropriate to the tasks they are assigned, electronically controlled, lacking individuality and the soul God intended in His image? Are we even being asked if we care? Will we even know the Transhuman contestants when they infiltrate society? Might some of these “enhanced” humanoids even now be walking among us undetected?

Justen;  You are certainly free to accept those micro-chips and gene modifying therapies. Undoubtedly there will be some real benefits. But Transhumanism is about destroying humanity, not merely augmenting it. This research toward an "enhanced" genetically modified micro-chipped chimera under wireless digital control is quite real. DARPA leads the way in seeking to develop "super soldiers".

Too not recognize danger is foolish. Science and technology are not exercised by corporatist governance for our benefit. They are used to exploit and control us.

Socialism is the predominant form of governance in the world today, even in America. No, it is not pleasant and appears unworkable...from our viewpoint. Our destruction is the unstated goal of the elitists behind it who only respect the law of the jungle. The elite believe in rule by stealth, and might makes right.

You ridicule the Amish culture shunning modern technology, but government studies show Amish farmers net greater profits per acre than other farmers using the latest marketed means, and have far fewer debts having avoided expensive machinery and chemicals, etc. Plus, their soil is not depleted and they have a prosperous, if old-fashioned, healthy lifestyle. The modern means bring debt and depletion.

I am sorry, Justen, that you have such great faith in big corporations and government forces that you see no need to beware the prospects for humanity being reduced to mutants and corpses in a totalitarian scheme. To be warned is to be aware and ready to resist. It is sad that you can only clap like a trained seal hooting for his masters instead of slipping away to freedom as God intended.

We live in a vast matrix of delusion and control, and technology is becoming ever more invasive. Think about it. Dare to read "Forbidden Gates" and be advised.

Yeah... or this technology could be used to empower individuals to transcend the limitations of their physiology at a personal level the way external machines allow us to do so at the extrapersonal level. A computer/communication device implant untethers you from the desk, gets the laptop off your lap, allows you to do your work in the park or while hiking in the mountains. A robotic prosthetic lets a paraplegic ditch the wheelchair for good. More exotic implants and genetic tweaks may let people do anything from flying to personally controlling vast arrays of machinery. This, like all technology, is fundamentally self-empowering.

Yes, if you do not adopt it, you will be left behind, just as the Amish are left behind, just as voluntary primitives are left behind, just as hunter-gatherers were left behind by agrarians twenty thousand years ago. This is your problem, not my problem. The mere suggestion that this should somehow be "prevented" is vile. It means that you, in your fear, intend to use force - i.e. violence - to stop it, as there is no other way to halt technological progress besides destruction of technology and the people producing it.

As for some kind of totalitarian Brave New World scenario, socialism is a dead idea. It doesn't work, it never has worked, and it never will work. The concept of a top-down controlled society is a lead zeppelin. The laws of nature prevent it from working - specifically, the laws of economics. No techno-magical thinking will free people from that basic problem, whatever Venus project types and brain-dead mustache twirling elites may want to believe. Artificial intelligence does not change the operation of networks any more than rockets change the operation of gravity. There is nothing to worry about, as long as you keep worrying about yourself. The mere fact of you looking out for your own interests and minding your own business defeats totalitarianism in stride. Crying out for powerful associations to "protect" you from things - and people - you fear is counter-revolutionary, it's just life support for the corpse of 19th-century socialism.
