More About: Palestine -- Israel

The Trojan Horse of "Delegitimization"

It has been almost a month since the controversial incident surrounding the so-called Freedom Flotilla in which Israeli commandos boarded the Mavi Marmara, were subsequently attacked by ship passengers and, rightly, retaliated.

The flotilla organizers thought they could shame Israel into lifting their Gaza blockade in hopes of the country indirectly conceding the flotilla was a humanitarian effort bringing aid to an alleged oppressed people.

Flotilla organizers were obviously hostile and their cohorts oblivious or indifferent to the Israelis being able to inspect cargo and vessels subject to it's blockade for armaments and material that can be used by Hamas.

They naively thought or hoped to provoke a confrontation with the Israelis while claiming to be non-violent in hopes of world opinion turning against Israel.

The Gaza blockade was also not only conducted by Israel. Egypt (a predominately Muslim country) also participated in it by constructing a steel wall along the Gaza/Egypt border in order to seal it off.

The common myth that, surprisingly, still continues to be perpetrated by its detractors is that Israel illegally occupies Gaza and oppresses their people. Even going so far as to accuse Israeli forces of committing acts of genocide.

Israel's occupation of the Gaza Strip is not only legal but was captured in a war that her Muslim neighbors initiated and she has the moral right to control the Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and West Bank since Israel has a right to defend herself against attack.

Consider the boundless hypocrisy of so-called human rights groups such as the International Humanitarian Relief Foundation (I.H.H.), the Free Gaza Movement, and their neo-communist, gas chamber-oriented Jewish apologists (such as Stephen Lendman, Ilan Pappe, Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, and Anna Baltzer).

You will see that these so-called humanitarians are very selective of which acts of tyranny they oppose.

Such high-minded defenders of humanity have yet to organize an underground railroad for dissenters from Iran or protest the murder of Iranian dissidents such as Neda Soltani, who was killed a year ago this month by a government sniper during demonstrations against the fraudulent reelection of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Nor have so-called human rights activists launched a humanitarian flotilla to Cuba in order to give aid to Cubans or free political prisoners imprisoned by Fidel Castro's brutal regime. They will not even send aid to Venezuelans suffering in poverty as a result of Hugo Chavez's communist policies.

Let's also not forget that these so-called champions of human rights turn a blind eye to innocent Israeli citizen's lives taken by continuous missile attacks conducted by Hamas toward Israeli cities which have been done in violation of past cease-fire agreements that Egypt helped broker and that Hamas and Israel simultaneously agreed to.

These so-called humanitarians are remarkably silent when Christians in Gaza are slaughtered and persecuted by Muslim jihadists, and even when Hamas halts aid to the Gaza territory or raids UN offices geared toward providing aid and support to their own people.

According to their perverse logic, if it’s a mostly free country (which Israel is) and if said country is wealthy and productive despite its socialism, then they oppose it.

It does not matter that Israel's Islamist enemies wish to destroy her and conduct a second holocaust which would eventually include murdering the defenders of efforts of alleged Palestinian-rights organizations.

It does not matter that Hamas does not so much govern Gaza’s 1.5 million people (aka Palestinians) as it rules them with fear and an iron fist.

It does not matter that back in January former Weather Underground terrorists Bernadine Dohrn, William Ayres along with Code Pink leader and Obama fundraiser Jodie Evans (all three of whom are close supporters and associates of President Barack Obama) participated in a trip to Egypt with the aim of forcing the Egyptians to allow them into Gaza with 1,300 fellow Hamas supporters in which all three so-called peace activists would go on to help organize the Gaza flotilla effort.

It does not matter that Israel's blockade of Gaza is legal and a similar tactic was used by President John F. Kennedy (a hero of President Obama) to prevent Cuba from being the recipient of nuclear weapons from the Soviet Union.

It does not matter that any attempt to breach the Israeli blockade is an act of war since the so-called Free Gaza Flotilla had the indirect support of some in the Turkish government including the public support of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in which his country is a signator of the Helsinki Maritime Accords.

It does not matter that even the Mavi Marmara's captain testified that his ship's passengers prepared an attack on Israeli naval commandos in which he tried to prevent passengers from using violence and after an inspection of his vessel, not surprisingly, no humanitarian aid was found on board.

It does not matter that despite Israel agreeing to Palestinian self-rule and a host of other concessions giving groups like Islamic Jihad and the P.L.O. everything they wanted as part of the 1993 Oslo Accords, Islamic militants instead rejected Israel's offer and then intensified their attacks against her.

As far as the so-called Free Gaza Movement participants and their defenders are concerned, the Israeli's harmed in the Gaza flotilla incident and those killed or maimed in rocket or terrorist attacks are or were obviously guilty by association and deserved to die.

Daniel Pipes pointed out succinctly that the Gaza flotilla was one of many ways to rid Israel of her moral right to self-defense using tactics grounded in delegitimization.

Instead of launching planes, tanks, and ships at the Jewish state, Pipes says, [Islamists] turned to other means – weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, and (most recently) political delegitimization. Delegitimization turns the rules of war upside down: in particular strength is weakness and public opinion has supreme importance.

In a June 4th Washington Post editorial, Charles Krauthammer gives a no-holds-barred assessment of the fraudulent cause of the Gaza flotilla and the delegitmization effort behind it:

Oh, but weren't the Gaza-bound ships on a mission of humanitarian relief? No. Otherwise they would have accepted Israel’s offer to bring their supplies to an Israeli port, to be inspected for military materiel and have the rest trucked by Israel into Gaza -- as every week 10,000 tons of food, medicine and other humanitarian supplies are sent by Israel to Gaza.

Why was the offer refused? Because, as organizer Greta Berlin admitted, the flotilla was not about humanitarian relief but about breaking the blockade, i.e., ending Israel's inspection regime, which would mean unlimited shipping into Gaza and thus the unlimited arming of Hamas.

Israel has already twice intercepted ships laden with Iranian arms destined for Hezbollah and Gaza. What country would allow that?

The reality is that the group that sponsored the Gaza-bound flotillas (I.H.H.), is a Turkish-based, terrorist-sympathizing, radical Islamist-controlled Trojan horse whose sole purpose is the eventual destruction of Israel by means of utilizing public relations to turn world opinion against her.

Many of the flotilla passengers exemplified indiscriminate selflessness and useful idiocy while being knowing abettors to the I.H.H. and Free Gaza Movement's evil intent rendering flotilla organizer's claims as a human rights movement made up of peace activists as nothing more than a monstrous fraud.

What's worse is that more flotillas are on the way. Not only will I.H.H. sponsor them but this time one will come from Iran and another from Lebanon.

When Israel was created, the United Nations set aside a huge territory meant for the Palestinians -- known today as Jordan. The U.N. left two small tracts unassigned known today as the Gaza strip and West Bank.

It's also a fact that no Muslim country wants either territory and that Palestinians, when given the opportunity, never agree on a separate country ... because what they want is Israel.

After all, why go to the trouble of establishing a functioning country and government when you can take over someone else's?

To Die Daily:  If you're against apartheid, then when are you organizing a protest against Jordan?  Jordan is an apartheid country that refuses to allow Jews to become citizens or own land.  When are you organizing a protest against the Palestinians?  The PLO and Hamas charters call for ethnic and religious cleansing and demand the removal of all Jews in the entire area. They have rewritten history by claiming the Jewish people never lived in Jerusalem either.

When Israel pulled out of Gaza, the Gazans demanded that every Jew pack up and leave, even the ones who had lived there for generations.  So every Jew left, but it's still not enough to satisfy the Muslims, who want the entire Middle East to be empty of Jews AND Christians.

I wish everyone would stop talking about the United States invading Israel.  That's not going to happen.  Could we instead focus on the practical goal of ending U.S. taxpayer support for Israel?

There was a dude named Renzulli
…who wrote "libertarian" news,
that was highly deficient in facts inconsistent
…with Zionist Apartheid views.

His apologies flowed full and facile
…but as more and more facts came to light,
What was not first redacted, was swiftly retracted
…but then Mike failed to update this site!

He "advocates personal freedom"
…and "campaigns against taxes" for trains!
But he loves all those taxes we ship to the Axis
…for bashing indigenous brains?

Now a month since their latest of war crimes
…he pokes the still waters anew,
But for all the fresh fiction his main predilection
…for tax-funded racism shines through.

We could swiftly debunk him as usual,
…but I ask, has this helped cure his thrall?
Never mind, he opines, and stays firmly behind,
…Race-based Statism, pogroms and all.
